A look back at 2014

Well it’s that time of year again… when I go back through my handy site and link off to the events that stick out as fun, interesting or just those which have provided some good memories. But first, a look at the goals I set myself for the year.

New Year Resolutions for 2014

I managed to complete 6 of my 11 goals (resolutions) for 2014; you can view them here – but essentially I completed the following…

  • Get to 300kg on the leg press for at least 6 reps (I achieved this very recently, actually …just in time, too!)
  • Put on muscle
  • Buy a house

In terms of those which I didn’t achieve, I came close in one of them; which was to get 35 new clients for my own business. I managed to get 28 in 2014, so I’m pretty pleased with that. I’ll try harder in 2015 😉 hehe.

Fitness in 2014

Those who know me well will know that fitness is one of my joys in life. Sounds strange, right? I think considering I avoided sport with a passion in school (a friend even once told our sports teacher that I’d died, so that I could get out of class…), it’s kind-of odd, but the world works in strange ways. I go to the gym between 5 and 7 times a week and love every minute of it. You can read more about why I got started with bodybuilding here, but for those of you that love GraphPr0n, as I do, this should keep you happy (click to enlarge)…

The highlights being…

  • An increase in 28% performance on the Ab Crunch Machine (over a 328 day data period)
  • An increase in over 32% performance on the Cable Mid-chest Crossovers (over a 634 day data period)
  • An increase in over 50% performance on the Cable Seated Row (over a 636 day data period)
  • A huge 208% performance increase on the Cable Standing Bicep Curls (over a 605 day data period)
  • A 50% performance increase on the Dumbbell Alt. Bicep Curls (over a 634 day data period)
  • A 75% increase on the Dumbbell Alt. Incline Curls (over a 573 day data period)
  • A 152% performance increase on Dumbbell Cross-body Hammer Curls (over a 634 day data period)
  • A 102% performance increase on the Dumbbell Lateral Raise (over a 634 day data period)
  • A 62% increase in performance on the Dumbbell Shoulder Press (over a 640 day data period)
  • An huge 380% increase in performance on the Twin Dumbbell Front-raise (over a 257 day data period)

For those wondering how I got the stats, I log my workouts (among other things) with Jefit. You can add me as a friend on Jefit if you wish.

Until next time…

Well, there you have it! 2014 was a wonderful year – I hope yours was good, too! If not, well.. there’s always next year, right? Build on your successes, push past any failures and make 2015 your best year yet! Thanks for reading.

xo,
Andypanda

Kylie tickets

This week so far has been pretty good. I got my two Kylie tickets yesterday (for selling on eBay); the other 7 I'll get a few weeks before the show. Work is alright at the moment, [...]

Queensland Rail

Nothing too exciting to report, but I'm a bit bored, so I thought I'd write anyway. After being 'off the air' and sick for 10 days or so, I've slowly been catching up on my to-do[...]
